25 Questions Every Christian Should Be Able to Answer

This book started as a private list. Questions I kept hearing and could not answer well — about suffering, about the reliability of Scripture, about hell, about why a good God would allow any of this. I wrote them down because pretending they were not there was doing more damage to my faith than the questions ever did.
What followed was a few years of reading, arguing, and rewriting. Each of the twenty-five chapters takes one question, gives the strongest version of the objection first, and then walks through the best answers I found — including the places where the answer is partial and I say so.
It is written for the person in the back row who believes but is not sure why, and for the friend across the table who does not believe and is tired of being handled. If you want certainty in three easy steps, this is the wrong book. If you want to think, come in.

About the author
I'm a writer and researcher who spent several years chasing down the questions I couldn't answer about my own faith. I'm not a pastor and I don't have a pulpit — which is probably why people tell me things they'd never say in a small group.
I write for the person in the back row: curious, a little tired of slogans, and unwilling to trade honesty for comfort.
